Aroma: Rauch und Zitrusnoten, der Rauch ist sehr dezent und gut eingebunden wenig Eichentöne und etwas florale Noten, ein Hauch Vanille
Geschmack: Rauch und Zitrusnoten dominieren, leichte, ganz zarte Bitternoten und Würznoten, wenig Süße
Abgang: mittellanger Abgang, Zitrusnoten, Rauch und ein Hauch von Kaffeenote, minimale Bitterkeit der Eichentöne, malzig
Kommentar: Im Vergleich zu den 12er, 15er und 18er Bowmores deutlich jünger und weniger komplex. Der Geschmack erinnert so gar nicht an typische Bowmorewhiskys. Das wird nicht mein Liebling aus dem Hause Bowmore, aber es ist ein sauber produzierter Islay, der vom PLV in Ordnung geht und auch die Aufschläge für die älteren Abfüllungen in ein rechtes Verhältnis rückt. Zwischendurch für einen daily Dram immer mal geeignet.
