This 21-year-old Balvenie Port Wood was post-matured in 30-year-old port casks. Balvenie has been in the Grants family for five generations. The distillery grows its own barley and also has its own malting floors.

Unbedingt nach dem Einschenken etwas atmen lassen!

Mit Sicherheit kein schlechter Tropfen. Für aktuell (11/2024) 245€ aber viel zu seicht, wenig Tiefe, wenig Komplexität.
Für mich nicht verständlich, wieso Balvenie hier mit 40% Vol. abfüllt.
Dass nach 21jähriger Reifung, davon etwas Nachreifung in Portweinfässern noch Zuckerkulör benötigt wird spricht auch ein bisschen für sich.
Wer einfach "nur" einen leckeren, "easy drinkable" Whisky sucht ist hier nicht schlecht bedient.
