The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It works with a very special distilling process in a so-called Faraday Still, which has been custom-made for Penderyn. In addition to the 'original' distillery, another Penderyn distillery opened on the northern coast of Wales at Lloyd Street in Llandudno in 2021. read more

80/100 Durch einen bitteren Geschmacksanteil kein süffiger Whisky, jedoch hat er dadurch auch seinen Wiedererkennungswert.
Aroma: Trockenfrüchte (Apfel, Pflaume, Kirsche), leichte Acetonnote
Geschmack: bitter-süß-fruchtig (Birne, Pflaume), Eichenwürze
Abgang: bitter-würzig-süß-fruchtig, mit Betonung auf der bitteren Würze; bezüglich des Finishs wird die Zugabe von Wasser favorisiert, der gewöhnungsbedürftige, bittere Geschmacksanteil persistiert jedoch

Aroma: wundervoll mit vielen Früchten wie Himbeeren und Brombeeren etwas Ananas- ich kann gar nicht mehr aufhören zu schnüffeln.



Geschmack: zuerst wiederholen sich die Früchte jetzt aber noch mit Honig und Vanille. Ein Traum!!!

Abgang: ganz zart: ein Wechselspiel zwischen Schokolade und dunklen Früchten

Kommentar: ganz ehrlich: einer der besten Whisky in diesem Preissegment den ich je genossen habe.
Ich war ja auch schon von dem Penderyn Madeira begeistert.
Eine kleine Distellerie die es wirklich zu entdecken gilt!!!
