Product description
The four-year-old Willett Family Estate Straight Rye Whiskey is bottled undiluted and directly from the barrel as a small batch. After maturing in hand-selected American white oak barrels, the bottling comes to 57.2% vol. and is bottled by hand. The rare release was introduced in 2008 in the distillery, which has been producing since 1936.

Indeed - the Willett Distillery in Bardstown is a very new one and started production in 2012, after the old family owned distillery had been closed in the 1980s.

Aroma: Schichten von Branntweinkirschen und leicht säuerlichen Kirschen. Dessertnoten mit Nuancen von Zimt und Backgewürzen dazu ein Hauch Eiche.
Geschmack: Roggen mit dunklen Kirschen, gebrannter Vanille und Gewürzen. Es folgen sehr gut ausbalancierte Alkoholischenoten mit einem weichen Mundgefühl.
Abgang: Lang mit dominierenden Gewürzen, während sich Kirschnoten dezent im Hintergund halten.
Geschmack: Roggen mit dunklen Kirschen, gebrannter Vanille und Gewürzen. Es folgen sehr gut ausbalancierte Alkoholischenoten mit einem weichen Mundgefühl.
Abgang: Lang mit dominierenden Gewürzen, während sich Kirschnoten dezent im Hintergund halten.
Geschmack: Sehr schön vollmundig!
