Finish Long, smooth and smoky with anise.

Ardbeg An Oa (an:oh) is inspired by the Scottish peninsula 'The Oa' on the island of Islay. Until 2017, Ardbeg fans could only access 3 standard bottlings. Now you can discover yet another whisky character from the distillery: An Oa is sweeter and spicier than its brother TEN.

Aroma: Massiv rauchiger Anfang, gepaart mit einer gleichzeitig startenden massiven süßen Fruchtigkeit; der Rauch geht in Richtung Räucherschinken, und danach entwickelt sich noch eine sanfte Kräuternote.

Geschmack: Im Mund dann nicht mehr so süß, sondern nebst dem Rauch entfaltet sich eine deutliche Orangenschale, und dann schlägt plötzlich mit aller Wucht eine massive Eiche zu.

Abgang: Die massive Eichenwürze sorgt für einen langen Abgang.

Kommentar: Das ist Ardbeg wie man ihn mag.

Kommentar: Sehr angenehm rauchiger Whisky. Der Rauch im Geruch geht m.E. in die Lagerfeuer Richtung. Im Geschmack dann eher maritim und erdig mit einer leichten fruchtig süßen Note. Toller langer Abgang.
