Product description

Extra Noir is a combination of pot and colum still distilled molasses rums, which are infused with French oak and then pressed with French and ex-bourbon wood. Finally, the rum from the Seychelles is left to rest in former French sugar cane rum barrels just 60 metres from the beach. Due to the lack of cooling filtration, natural sediment particles can appear in the liquid in the bottles. These can be filtered out by using a simple coffee filter when pouring and are harmless to health.

The Distillery:

In 2002, the two rum-enthusiastic brothers Richard and Bernard d'Offay founded the only rum distillery Takamaka, Trois Frères Distillery in the Seychelles. It is located on the island of Mahé and has produced Takamaka Bay Rum, which goes back to a family recipe of the grandfather. The sugar cane is grown specifically for rum production. Aroma: sehr fruchtig mit einer nicht zu intensiven Note der französischen Eiche

Geschmack: angenehm rund, easy drinking, etwas Eiche, viel Vanille noch mehr Früchte und Gewürze

Abgang: nicht zu kräftig und zu lang, auch für Einsteiger geeignt. Meine Frau meinte auch "den kann man pur trinken", das soll was hiessen

Kommentar: momentan einer meiner Lieblings Rums, ich würde sagen genau richtig für einen Daily (aber nein man soll ja nicht täglich Alkohol konsumieren, gell!!)

Aroma: Intensiv Fruchtig, dazu Vanille, Eiche, Nüsse, gebrannte Mandeln und das Aroma von frisch oepressten Zuckerohr

Geschmack: So wie man sich einen guten Rum vorstellt: Vanille, kräftige französische Eiche, Gewürze, nur ein kurzer Anflug von Süße. Keine Zuckerbrühe

Abgang: Mittellang, Vanille tropische Gewürze, Nelken, Zimt, Schokolade. Nicht bitter

Kommentar: Schöner Rum, der sich angenehm von den vielen stark gezuckerten Rum´s abhebt
