This 10 YO Tobermory bottling was also not coloured/chill-filtered by Burn Stewart and bottled with a higher alcohol content. The 12-year-old Bunnahabhain and the 12-year-old Deanston also received this upgrade.

Comment:
Herbaceous, grassy nose with some unripe lemon and the faintest hint of smoke. Some nuttiness in there too. With water the lemon becomes more ripe and the herbs more complex.
Sweet on the palette, the herbs are still there, now with some spices that continue into the finish with some oak wood appearing. With water a salty note on the sides of the tongue appears.
I miss this whisky (this is the last bit in the bottle I have [preserved with inert gas]), the 12yo is good but a little more conventional, this one's more out there and interesting, not worth the current price of 160€ however.
