Blanton's Straight from the Barrel is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon that is bottled undiluted and straight from a bourbon barrel. The whiskey is particularly dark and intense. Blanton's bottlings are still characterised by the rider on the bottle cap. Single cask bottling!

Kommentar: Und schwupp, weg isser! (weg im Sinne von: weg aus dem Sortiment) Schade das man nur eine Flasche kaufen darf. Andererseits gut für meinen Kontostand und den Zustand meiner Leber. Der Herr aus dem Hause Buffalo trace ist immer ein vergnügen und zeigt was ein KSB so alles kann. Trotz der über 60% ABV ist er gut genießbar und braucht wenn überhaupt wenig Wasser. Die Aromen sind Anfangs verschlossen und es braucht entweder Zeit oder Wasser. Im Mund explodiert das Ganze zu einem Konglomerat aus Alkohol, Süße und Eiche mit etwas Frucht und den üblichen Verdächtigen (Karamel, Vanille). Der Abgang ist lang und intensiv. Den bitte immer wieder mal im Angebot und ich bin bereit den aufgerufenen Preis zu löhnen. Fazit: Glatte 5 Punkte
