Michter's is one of the most traditional American Whiskey distilleries, with a history dating back to 1753. Founded by John Shenk in Pennsylvania, continued by Abraham S. Bomberger, marked by Prohibition and changes in ownership, it was given the name Michter's in the 1950s. In the 1990s, production was moved to Kentucky and modernised. It takes place at three locations: the Shively Distillery, the Fort Nelson Building and the farm near Springfield. read more

    Aroma: feine unaufdringliche differenzierte Süße, kaum Holz usw.

    Geschmack: erstklassige,auch hier nicht aufdringliche Süße, mild, kein besonders präsenter einzelner Geschmacksaspekt , eher zurückhaltend

    Abgang: mittellang, nicht außergewöhnlich beeindruckend, eher rund

    Kommentar: die perfekte Begleitung zu Käsekuchen, Ricottakuchen und ähnlichen, nicht ganz trockenen Kuchen. Nicht zu Cremedessert, aber etwa auch zu Weihnachtsgebäck und Espresso.
    Tolles Preis/Genußverhältnis, für dezente Süßschnäbel sehr zu empfehlen !
