West Cork Irish Stout is a triple-distilled blend of Malt and Grain whiskey, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in casks previously used for stout (strong beer) from Black's Brewery in Kinsale in the south of Ireland. In 2003, three friends founded one of Ireland's few independent distilleries - West Cork Distillers.

As the name suggests, West Cork Distillers is located in the west of County Cork in Ireland. The independent craft distillery was founded in 2003 by three childhood friends: John O'Connell and cousins Ger and Denis McCarthy. What began as a small experiment in a back room developed into one of the largest Irish-owned distilleries in the country. Today, the distillery employs more than 140 people, many of them from the region, and produces Irish Whiskey, Gin and Vodka for a global audience. read more
