The 12-year-old Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon that is popular with connoisseurs. It comes straight from the barrel without chill-filtering and at a strong 62.4% vol. A drop of still water is recommended for tasting.

In 1935 the Old Heavenhill Springs was founded by a group of investors and the Shapira brothers. Comment: Wow. Fantastic bourbon. Immediately on the nose you get the classic bourbon notes combined with a sort of.. old, musky, oaky smell. Taste is more of that. Classic bourbon with a lot of depth. Finish also lingers for quite some time. Great stuff!

Kommentar: Der erste Schluck fühlt sich noch heiß an mit einer scharfen Note. Ab dem 2, 3 Schluck klingt das Feurige ab und die ganze Klasse kommt zur Geltung, der Bourbon wird zu einem cremig-süß-aromatischen Vergnügen. Trotz Stärke unverdünnt ein Genuss! Zudem faires PLV.
